The 200 Level of Columbia University’s historic Nash Building was renovated to support the evolving programmatic needs of Columbia Technology Ventures (CTV), creating a flexible and highly functional workplace aligned with the group’s mission of advancing research commercialization. Through a comprehensive programming and design process with CTV leadership, the project transformed a series of existing offices into a cohesive suite of spaces that support collaboration, focused work, and community engagement while establishing a unified identity across the floor and within the broader building.

Modern lighting systems, acoustical treatments, and integrated environmental graphics were carefully deployed to support flexibility, improve wayfinding, and reinforce CTV’s institutional presence. Throughout the floor, material selections and detailing balance durability with a contemporary aesthetic appropriate for an innovation-driven academic workplace.

The completed 200 Level CTV suites, now serve as a dynamic accelerator hub that strengthens CTV’s ecosystem, supporting staff, visitors, and emerging ventures alike. The project reinforces Columbia University’s commitment to fostering innovation by providing an environment that bridges academic research and real-world application at the local, national, and global scale.
