Located at 1 Washington Place, MAD was tasked with two different phases of work. In 2017 we first completed the gut-renovation of the 7th floor and later a partial renovation of the 8th floor completed in the summer of 2024. The 7th floor expanded the Gallatin School’s portfolio of seminar rooms and faculty offices. The design also provides multiple student lounges and quiet spaces to provide more amenities to students. Exposed structural masonry walls contrast the Peter Halley mural installation that is primarily present at the central circulation areas. Use of cement board wall surfacing and suspended celling panels define the various areas of the floor plate.
On the 8th floor scope of work, modifications included the redesign of the Gallatin Dean's suite open plan, new offices and pantry, all features being introduced by a new reception area.
